Shihou-ken Karate of PA

Shihou-ken karate is a traditionally based ryu (school) emphasizing personal growth, true self-defense and tradition. It is derived from Kyokushin karate, founded by the infamous Mas Oyama. Shihouken Karate was founded by Shihan Hollingsworth (Mamaroeneck NY) a top student of Shihan S. Oyama founder of World Oyama Karate. As such it has roots is Shotokan, Goju-ryu, Kempo and kick boxing styles. Participants will learn the basics of kicking, striking and blocking as well as kata, (solo forms), free fighting and self defense. Class is structured to meet the needs of each student regardless of fitness level and experience. Classes are held in Fogelsville PA and Bethelehm.
